Elevation, Storage and Purchase Terms and Conditions

Elevation Charges

Applies to all corn, soybeans, wheat, or barley.

One of the following options must be confirmed upon receipt of product, to be applied in the following order (depending on agreement already established with MacEwen Agricentre Inc.):

  • Contract
  • Default storage
  • Grain bank
  • Spot price
  • Elevation charges do not apply to grain sold to MacEwen Agricentre Inc. at time of delivery
  • Elevation OUT charges do not apply to grain sold to MacEwen Agricentre Inc.
  • Drying rates are subject to change without notice.
  • If the grain is picked up directly at the producer’s farm, it is their responsibility for the quality of the grain. If there are additional transportation costs to other places, we will charge them.
  • FOB Farms means (Freight on board) pick up at producer’s farm depending on shipper’s schedule.
  • FOB Field only offered if trucks available and time permitted, we cannot guarantee availability and need to know 48 hrs ahead.
  • Loading to be done in less than one hour, time over the one hour allowed will be charged at $140/hour.
  • If dropping trailer in Field for ½ to 1 day, all depending on availability of vehicles, we will waive that hourly rate, but we charge a $140 Dropping Fee.

Storage

Storage charges for corn, soybeans, wheat, or barley are applied from the date of receipt. A monthly invoice will be mailed payable in 30 days. Price per metric ton per day: $0.10/day

Grain bank (for all feed mill customers)

Flat rate fee per metric ton (In lieu of storage): Soybeans: $9.00/mt Corn: $7.00/mt

  • Elevation in & out and storage fees do not apply to grain bank.
  • If grain is sold from grain bank, then regular storage and elevation fees apply.
  • All grain left in grain bank as of November 1st, 2023 must be sold at market value and storage will be applied.
  • Applied to bulk feed only – no bagged feed.
  • A negative grain bank is not allowed.

We reserve the right to reject CCFM% that is 10.1 or higher.

  • Maximum 2 ppm vomitoxin.
  • MacEwen Agricentre Inc. reserves the rights to reject any corn deemed unsuitable for processing.

Grading according to Canadian Grain Commission Standards

No discount for #2 yellow soybean
Grade 3 – $3.00 / MT discount
Grade 4 – $5.00 / MT discount
Grade 5 – $10.00 / MT discount

Sample Grade – negotiable (depends on reason for downgrade)

Green/Damaged Discount Table:
15.1 – 20% – $18.00 / MT
20.1 – 25% – $23.00 / MT
25.1 – 30% – $30.00 / MT

  • MacEwen Agricentre Inc. reserves the rights to reject any corn deemed unsuitable for processing. Discounts are subject to change without notice.

  • All applicable charges are due upon receipt of invoice, 2% per month will be charged on overdue accounts. We reserve the right to purchase sufficient quantities of grain to satisfy overdue accounts for MacEwen Agricentre Inc.
  • All grain to be removed by August 31st, 2023 if not grain may be liquidated at the price of the day.
